Seven Key Relationships #6
Your Relationship With Other People:
Serving Beyond Yourself & Stepping Into Your Purpose
There’s something remarkable that happens when we arrive at the sixth key relationship in Dr. Paul Jenkins’ model. Up until now, everything we’ve explored has been deeply personal and foundational — your Creator, yourself, your spouse or partner, your children, your extended family.
These relationships shape your identity.
They anchor your emotional well-being.
They form the core of who you are becoming.
But now, the circle widens.
This sixth relationship — Your Relationship With Other People — includes everyone outside your closest inner circle.
Your community.
Your neighbours.
Your clients.
Your team.
Your followers.
Your customers.
Your friends.
Even the people you’ve never met, but whose lives you touch.
And it is here, at this level, where purpose becomes visible.
🌾 Two Kinds of People… and Two Kinds of “Money”
One of Dr. Paul’s financial advisors once said something memorable:
“There are two kinds of people in the world — the people you know and the people you don’t.”
And interestingly, he said there are also two kinds of money:
✨ The value that fills your heart
✨ The value you exchange economically
When you love, nurture, and support the first five relationships, you’re giving the first kind of value — presence, joy, connection, time, shared moments, meaningful conversations.
But when you serve people beyond your core circle — your clients, your audience, your community — you’re creating the second kind of value: resources, solutions, transformation, support.
This is where economics enters the picture — not in a cold or transactional way, but as a natural flow of giving and receiving.
When you create value for others, value returns to you.
This is why Dr. Paul calls it happynomics — where joy and purpose connect to contribution and impact.
🌱 This Relationship Is Where Your Gifts Begin to Serve the World
Your first five relationships prepare you.
But this sixth relationship activates you.
This is the space where:
You share your strengths
You offer your experience
You give encouragement
You solve problems
You build community
You lift others
You create value
And suddenly… your life expands.
Serving others doesn’t drain you when your foundation is strong.
It energizes you.
It clarifies you.
It fills your life with meaning.
This is why so many women — especially farm women — feel a pull toward service, coaching, community, or entrepreneurship. They’ve lived deeply. They’ve learned deeply. And now their hearts are ready to give.
🌻 Two Powerful Outcomes When You Serve Beyond Yourself
1. You Love Your Life More
There is nothing like watching someone grow because of something you offered.
There is nothing like seeing someone break through a challenge because of a conversation, a resource, or a system you shared.
It expands your heart and your purpose.
It reminds you that your life matters.
It pulls you out of survival mode and into contribution mode.
2. It Generates Wealth — Inside and Out
When you create value for others:
Your confidence grows
Your joy increases
Your energy rises
Your opportunities multiply
Your income often follows
This isn’t about chasing financial success — it's about aligning service with purpose.
And when you serve well, people are willing to exchange value for what you offer.
This is the beautiful intersection of calling + contribution.
🌸 How This Connects Directly to My Purpose
My friend, this key relationship is the one that breathes life into the work I do today.
Supporting farm women — women who are exhausted, overwhelmed, and ready for more — is not something I stumbled into.
It’s the natural extension of my own life, my values, my experiences, and my heart.
After decades of raising a family, building a ranch, navigating health challenges, and learning what resilience really looks like… I knew I had something meaningful to give.
And here’s what I’ve learned:
👉 When I help a woman feel better in her own body, her whole family benefits.
👉 When I support someone in creating clarity, they step into leadership in their own life.
👉 When I teach simple systems for health and mindset, women begin to rise — not just survive.
👉 When farm women feel grounded and supported, communities strengthen.
THIS is why this sixth relationship matters.
It’s where our stories become someone else’s lifeline.
It’s where our lessons become someone else’s breakthrough.
It’s where our gifts become someone else’s hope.
And every time I coach a woman, share a tool, teach a health system, or speak into someone’s resilience…
I feel that deep, internal confirmation:
“This is what you were created to do.”
This relationship is where my purpose truly comes alive.
🌼 Reflection Questions for Your Journal
What value do I naturally bring to other people?
Where in my life do I feel called to serve or support others?
What strengths or experiences have prepared me for this?
How do I feel when I help someone grow, heal, or improve their life?
What would it look like to step more boldly into my purpose?
🌿 Closing Thought
Your relationship with other people is where your life begins to expand beyond your own story.
It’s where your strengths transform into service.
It’s where your wisdom becomes impact.
It’s where your purpose begins to shine.
When your first five relationships are nurtured, you have the energy, clarity, and emotional capacity to create value for others.
And when you step into this relationship with intention, humility, and joy…
✨ Your life grows
✨ Your community grows
✨ Your wealth grows
✨ Your purpose grows
This is the relationship where you stop merely surviving —
and begin thriving in the ripple effect of the lives you touch.
